Yes. Create an account and you instantly get a 7-day full Pro trial — no credit card, no commitment. After 7 days you automatically drop to the Free tier (50 trades/month, position calculator). Your data is never deleted.
Any instrument you trade. You type the pair or symbol manually, so it works for Forex majors, minors, exotics, Gold (XAU/USD), Indices (NAS100, US30, S&P500), crypto and more. The position calculator supports Forex, JPY pairs, Gold and NAS100 with correct pip/lot math built in.
Your data belongs to you. Firestore security rules mean only your account can read or write your trades — no other user, and not even us, can access them. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy tab or the in-app privacy section for full details.
Yes. Blacklog is a Progressive Web App with a cache-first service worker and Firestore offline persistence. Trades you log while offline are queued and sync automatically the moment your connection returns. You'll see a banner at the bottom so you always know your status.
Yes — Pro users can import trades from a CSV file. Required columns: date, pair, session, result, rr, risk. Optional columns: type, grade, rulebreak, chartlink, notes. Duplicates (same date + pair + session + result) are automatically skipped. You can also export all your trades to CSV at any time on any tier.
The moment you create an account you get full Pro access for exactly 7 days. No card is needed. A countdown timer in the app shows you how much time remains. When the trial ends, your account drops to the Free tier — all your trades, playbook entries and psychology reviews are kept. The trial is offered once per person.
Cancel directly through Gumroad — the payment processor. Go to your Gumroad receipts email and follow the manage subscription link. There's no runaround. Blacklog never stores your card details and doesn't handle billing directly, so cancellation is entirely on Gumroad's end.
Yes. Blacklog is a PWA (Progressive Web App). On iOS: tap Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android: tap the browser menu → Install App. It launches fullscreen, works offline and behaves like a native app — no App Store required.
Set a daily loss limit in R inside Settings. If your total loss today approaches 80% of the limit, Blacklog warns you before you log another trade. If you've hit the full limit, it blocks entry completely. It's there to stop you revenge trading on a bad day. Available on all tiers.

Per-user data isolation
Firestore security rules enforce that your account can only read and write its own data. No admin bypass, no shared queries — your trades are invisible to every other user and to us.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All communication uses TLS/HTTPS. Passwords are hashed by Firebase Authentication (bcrypt) — we never see plaintext credentials. Data at rest is encrypted on Google Cloud infrastructure.
Firebase App Check
reCAPTCHA v3 App Check blocks requests from unauthorized domains and bots. Your Firestore database rejects all calls that don't originate from blacklog.app.
Rate limiting & brute-force lock
Login attempts are rate-limited both client-side and at the Firebase Auth level. Support tickets are capped at 10 per user via server-enforced atomic counters — no client bypass possible.
Server-side tier enforcement
Subscription tier rules are enforced in Firestore security rules — not just in the browser. Monthly trade counters are atomically incremented in the same batch as each trade write, so free limits cannot be bypassed by a fast user or a modified client.
We don't sell your data. Ever.

Atomic batch writes for trade counter
Trade saves and monthly counter increments now land in a single Firestore batch. Eliminates the race condition where two rapid saves could both read the same count and each write count+1.
One-tap login with saved accounts
Your last 3 accounts are saved on-device. Return to Blacklog and log in with a single tap — no email re-entry needed.
Undo delete for trades
Accidentally deleted a trade? An undo toast appears for 5 seconds. Click it to restore the trade back to your journal instantly.
Offline-first architecture
Cache-first service worker + Firestore offline persistence. Trades logged offline queue automatically and sync on reconnect. Offline banner shows your live connection status.
CSV import with duplicate detection
Pro users can bulk-import trades from CSV. Duplicates (same date, pair, session, result) are automatically skipped. Counter update is batched with the first write to stay atomic.
Password strength indicator
Live feedback on signup — four-bar strength meter with individual rule checks (length, uppercase, lowercase, number). Confirm-password match indicator in real time.
